Empire Avenue Missions

So… Why Do Empire Avenue Missions anyway?

A friend of mine and respected leader on the Avenue, Gerrit Bes recently created an article on his blog listing all of the benefits of doing missions and he asked for any other thoughts that I could think of, so here is my response. Enjoy!

My purpose for doing missions is to promote my blog. Everything I do is to promote my blog, and to increase SEO to get more people to my blog from search engines and from social media sites.

So I create missions on Empire Avenue to do that. I would like to have comment on my blog posts but I do not expect it from my Empire Avenue Missions. What I am really looking for is to get shares on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, google+, etc.

In Empire Avenue you are not allowed to require any type of engagement. So I hope for the social media shares. Sometimes I get some comments and sometimes nothing at all and that’s alright too because some people are there just to play the game.

Ideally when a person will do Empire Avenue Missions, they will engage appropriately, they will rate the mission, like the mission and leave a comment.

It’s possible that some people just don’t understand what is that the mission creator is looking for. I recently did a blog post on Content Syndication with a Content Syndication Group that you can check out here. <===

Because I come from a Content Syndication Group background, I have an understanding, and it’s alright if I don’t get comments on my blog from Empire Avenue Missions because my initial comments I get from the Syndication Group that I’m a part of and then after that, other comments just come naturally.

It’s getting the first comment that is so important and the hardest to get.

On the Avenue I’m looking for shares on Social Media which gives me back links to my blog and increases my presence on the networks so that other people can find me.

My thought is, do your part to the best of your ability and everything is going to be fine.

In life, in business, I have found if you wanna rise to the top, you just go the extra mile. Robert Frank Click To Tweet

It’s in the little things. Everyone does the broad strokes but it’s in the fine stroke, in little details that sets you apart from the rest.

Those details are so easy and they don’t even take much more time. But the results from taking that time in adding a little extra detail pays off big time.

So weather it’s in doing missions on Empire Avenue, creating a new blog post or whatever it is that you’re doing, take a minute, go the extra mile and make it just a little bit better, give just a little bit more.
